A man lives on the twelfth floor of an apartment building. Every morning he takes the elevator down to the lobby and leaves the building. In the evening, he gets into the elevator, and, if there is someone else in the elevator — or if it was raining that day — he goes back to his floor directly. Otherwise, he goes to the tenth floor and walks up two flights of stairs to his apartment.

Because man is of small height and he can't reach the button for 12th floor. So, when there is someone in the lift that person presses the button for him and when it's raining he has the umbrella ….

the man is having an affair with the lady on the 7th floor . His wife is at home waiting for him .If the wife realises that he is dry though its raining . Should will know that he has been somewhere else in the building before going back to her . If there are other people in the lift , they may see him going to the floor that he's not supposed to be on .
